TURN DOWN FOR BRUNCH!!!

Welcome to Turn Down for Brunch where we explore options to transform our favorite time of day to a magical couple of hours filled with adventure and wonder! Join me on my journey to healthier eating and building a lasting relationship with my BFF – FOOD! But, don’t forget about your crew too. They deserve a slice of this heaven you’re serving up. Who says you can’t have it all?

Throughout this adventure, we will learn new recipes and figure out how to take this meal to the next level. First things first, don’t be afraid to invite your friends over for an amazing feast with great company! As I've always said, "Brunch is what you make of it. Don't let anything stand in your way."

This is also the perfect time to get to know your squad even better and show off your new found skills. You can easily build stronger relationships through food and conversation. Don't worry about running out of topics, they will eventually fly off of your lips easier than you know. Remember that this is the perfect opportunity to open up to one another. Vulnerability and no judgments are key to a lasting and healthy friendship.

But what about the theme and decor, you ask? Any event is much more appealing when you incorporate an element of fun. Brunch doesn't have to be food-centric. Use this time to get goofy and have a little fun. I listed a couple of options below to get your juices flowing:

The Hangover – What can be better than getting the wolf pack together after a long night of dancing to talk about the bartender or the hot guy by the bar? Pair it with avocado toast and a watered down sports drink infused with fruit. (Your friends will thank you later!)

Le Petit Déjeuner – Literally! Directly translated from French, it means “little lunch”. But the French know it as breakfast! Get creative with this topic and make everything bite-sized. Use cookie cutters to create fun, petite portions. Pair a mini pancake with a shot of mimosa. Go a little crazy! (Pun intended.) Why not? They turned burgers into sliders!
